Quarterly Summary | April – June 2026
Market overview
Spring in Dognet did not disappoint, bringing solid results even as consumers across the region continue to be more careful with their purchasing decisions.
In April and May, publishers generated over €3.3 million and more than 75,000 sales for advertisers each month. June saw a slight dip, which is a standard seasonal trend as summer kicks in. Average order value during these months was also slightly lower than at the start of the year — confirming that as the weather improves, people spend more on holidays, trips and experiences, and less on classic online shopping.
The good news comes from Tradebyte’s latest report: GMV (total sales volume) in the CEE region grew year-on-year by 59%. For affiliate marketing in the region, this signals more opportunities ahead for performance-based channels and growing potential for publishers. That said, consumers across our core markets are still shopping more carefully, comparing more and prioritising essential purchases over impulse buys. Growth is happening, but segment by segment rather than across the board.
The strongest performing segments over recent months have been health (Benulekaren.sk, Najlekaren.eu) and sport (Decathlon.sk), pet supplies (Zoohit.sk, Zooplus.hu, Zoohit.cz), fashion (Sinsay.com, DobryTextil.cz, Glami.sk, eyerim.sk, eyerim.cz, eyerim.pl) and multishops (Arukereso.hu, Lidl.sk).
One legislative update worth noting: since June 19th, e-shops across the EU are required to include a visible cancellation button on their website, making it easier for customers to withdraw from a purchase. We don’t expect this to significantly impact overall cancellation rates, though a slight uptick may appear in impulse-driven categories such as fashion and sale items.

Recommendations for publishers
The summer months are traditionally slower — but we hope you’ll make the most of them by getting some well-deserved rest and creating great memories. Recharge your energy, because this autumn we’re preparing new collaboration and campaign promotion opportunities that we’ll be sharing with you soon.
If you want to make the most of summer, focus on the categories that naturally thrive this season: travel and summer hobbies, sport, grills and garden equipment, as well as outdoor toys and paddling pools for kids, or summer fashion.
The end of summer traditionally brings one of the strongest moments for publishers — Back to School. School supplies, backpacks, electronics and clothing see a significant surge in August, so it’s worth preparing your content ahead of time. For this segment, we recommend the Carneo campaign (SK, CZ, HU) with their popular GPS kids’ smartwatches — a practical purchase that parents actively look for before the new school year.
